She's been locked in a high tower
Guarded by a fierce dragon
Surrounded by the untamed flame
She keep waiting, waiting to be saved

She's pretty, but at midnight
An ogre she becomes, it's a curse
But she is still the same princess
Hoping her rescuer is her true love

In the meantime, in the swamp
A happy ogre read his book
The people interrupt, they shout
The ogre burps, long and loud

The shortest king in the world, I guess
The ruler of Duloc, Farquad is the name
Thinking he is handsome, he's only half a man's leg
What a shame, he isn't even married

Then begin a search, of a princess he does
Mirror mirror on the wall, show the fairest of all
One two three, he chooses three
The ruler of Duloc, work his work

Finding the best of the best, Shrek won all
He suddenly got the job, to become the rescuer
Save the princess, alive and beautiful
With the worst, the donkey

The princess has been rescued, the shocking moment
To find that there's no charm in both
One is an ogre, one is a dwarf
But she chooses the ogre to be her true love

Chased by the Duloc man, she flew
She married an ogre, this is true
The princess named Fiona and an ogre named Shrek
They married and lived UGLY EVER AFTER....


p/s : this poem (it was actually my review of the shrek1 movie) was made during my Form 4 year...and published in my school's mag... since i don't want it to be forgotten so i decided to post it here..so everyone can read my poem..any comments or ideas, please be happy to share with me...tq...
